I’ve been a fan of all sorts of puzzles (not jigsaw, more logic/creative/outside the box) for as long as I can remember, but over the past few years I have really started to enjoy more complex puzzle hunt style challenges. I feel like this community may have some people who currently partake or would enjoy this style of entertainment.
Puzzled Pint is a great starting place for paper based puzzling. They run events in a bunch of cities every month, but their entire archive is available for free on their website. Some months are a bit eh, but on average their puzzles are solid. http://www.puzzledpint.com/
I’m also trying to solved the 2020 Cryptex Hunt that is currently going on. It is a puzzle within a short novel. One chapter is released every day this week, currently on Chapter 2 and I am super stuck. If you need a break from politics and want to try to work on this I;d be happy to collaborate. https://www.cryptexhunt.com/2020/
Are any of you already into this stuff? What other good puzzles have you come across?

I’m in a team of Strayans who do some hunts. Generally we do the MUMS and SUMS (Melbourne/Sydney Uni Maths Society) puzzle hunts, also Galactic Puzzle Hunt plus various others. We usually do OK but definitely aren’t at the level of the elite teams. Some of us are a bit busy right now but there might be people up to do Cryptex; I’ve just posted it in the Telegram channel that we use for the hunts and I’ll see if anyone is keen.
Up to you whether you’d want to collaborate with random strangers obviously.
Totally fine collaborating. I’m trying to do it on my own right now but not getting far. Got Chapter 1. Pretty stumped for 2.
As far as the really heavy stuff goes, like the MIT hunt and I’m assuming the ones you’ve mentioned, I’m definitely not at that level yet. Trying to train my brain by blasting through a ton of the Puzzled Pint archive, but even that is pretty tame compared to the real Puzzle Hunts.
