We all watch Le Tour, but don’t count out the Vuelta. Vuelta on now - stage 12. I love watching the whole stage each day - or at least the last third - to see the strategy!
Exciting! Not for Vingo and his team, but for each days stage! Clocked at almost 50 mph downhill - eek!! That’s scary on a skinny bike!
Needed some Tadej in there to spice up the GC (or maybe not…).

Aside from an ez David Millar, Bob Roll might be the best commentator.
Bob Roll says something insightful, then Brent Bookwalter says “I was just thinking that”.

Vingo in TT position to cooldown ready for upcoming. Ayuso goofing & sitting up w someone else on team squad cos he won as he pedals regular. Vingo gave him a You’re a fkn idiot look. I’m paraphrasing but I don’t think Vingo’s exactly worried. Vingo not my fave but he’s got the mentality!

Tour de France just started with Vingegaard grabbing the yellow in the team time trial. But I don’t know if there is anyone who thinks Pogacar isn’t going to run away with it.

Watching on Peacock. Think Phil Liggett is turning into a rambling nice old man with his side quips. It’s great! Other things too, but he just called the peloton a miserable bunch for not seeing any acknowledgement from them when they just caught a long solo breakaway guy.
It’s hard to not like the Pog. Seems to do just about everything right. I only dislike the fact that he’s the most ruthless & talented, but also TV-savvy sports pro in existence.

I still like him and Bob. They are entertaining and not annoying, which is all you can ask for during a 4 hour broadcast
I love Pogacar. It’s still just so hard to stay engaged as long as Watts = win is always paramount. I wish the sport had more team influence or tactics to create more variance. Stuff like Col du Golibier a few years back was beautiful.
I like all of those. Still really really wish David Millar was still there doing his truly in-depth analysis.
I truly don’t know how they’re racing in this heat. It’s legit dangerous to be out there that long in temperatures that high.

I think the organisers have scheduled in some extra feeding stations, to allow onloading more bottles.
