What kind of poll and sample is this?
Edit nevermind it does, the sample population is among debate watchers. At the top it just says conducted by ssrs and margin of error 5.3. Maybe the audio thatās not included has more details.
The debate was too boring, and I couldnāt watch the whole thing
debate watchers in their studio? Are they randomly calling people? It seems too quick to be a proper poll.
So glad I didnāt watch.
I donāt really trust this dudeās āundecidednessā any more than I do the Trump supporter who wiggled onto a similar panel last debate and said the performance made him choose Trump.
It wasnāt bad, I thought Walz was pretty good. He was prepped well on what their strategy was for him and he executed it. Those that wanted him to be more attack oriented have to realize that wasnāt what the strategy was, they wanted him to attack Trump and not Vance and thereās probably good reason for that.
Walz should have kept it short and snappy (instead of being waffly) and appeased the normie conservative types.
āMike Pence had the integrity to uphold a legitimate election result. JD Vance does not have any integrity at all. See how he went from being a never-Trumper to completely licking Donald Trumps overpriced shoes.ā
Something like that. That only took me about a minute to think of. Cāmon Dems, do better.
Debates in a political context are genuinely really stupid. There is close to zero correlation between being a great debater and being a great public servant.
Trump seems pretty highly correlated.
Itās just gamification. Scoring points, wins and losses, team colors, merch. People engage with that stuff, so itās popular.
Yeah, my default assumption is that these are all weirdos who want to be on TV enough to lie about being undecided. Iām sure an occasional actual undecided slips in, but still.
āUndecidedsā are either lying or too galactically stupid to hold an opinion at this stage. Either way I canāt think of a demographic we should care less about.
I think there are way more people than you are suggesting that simply do not make politics or current events a feature of their day to day lives but will consider voting once every 4 years, especially if Dems are offering a government program they actually really want (like Obamacare) or Rs are offering a sweet tax cut that they think they will get and can use. Not everyone is thinking about this stuff every day or week or month or even year.
Glad I didnāt watch but based on the comments here Walz did what was needed and make this debate irrelevant. If he goes on the attack and fails than that would have a bigger impact than landing any attacks. The focus needs to be on the difference between Trump and Harris.
