Voters’ memories are short. They’ll remember the final debate way more than the first.

They also can pick a candidate with a better chance to win. It’s still really just the swing states they have to worry about. Pick someone who can win those. Whitmer?

He isn’t going to step down, and even if there was some alternate universe where he did, the damage is already done. It’s over. Lots of us said that this was going to happen when Biden was nominated in 2020, and sure enough look what happened.
There can’t be one human being in the United States that doesn’t sincerely believe that Joe Biden is too old and diminished to be President. I’ll surely vote for him, and so will many others despite knowing that truth deep down in their hearts. But he’s absolutely cooked, and we all know it. Time to pivot to trying to figure out how deal with the fact that 10% of your remaining lifespan will be spent suffering through the triumphant second act of President Donald J. Trump.

A new candidate will get a boatload of media bling. They just need to win the swing states. The solid Democratic states will still vote against Trump. Maybe it’s a hail mary type of play, but we know what we’re getting if we don’t try. Whitmer? Sharpiro? Somebody who can campaign like crazy in the swing states and take advantage of all that media coverage.
You’re only allowed to criticize Biden for being too old if you supported a younger candidate in the 2020 primaries.
