I consider myself less educated and informed about the electoral college than everyone else in this thread. (Yet surprisingly ahead of almost the entire country).
This is my final prediction. It is baseless and the numbers might not even work so it is what it is.
Biden 355, Trump 183
Good luck and Godspeed.
My Election Day drink of choice is non alcoholic just because I don’t really drink. Iced mochas non stop.
My cousin - a reliable R voter who’s definitely voting Biden - is in Wyoming. Which given the pop. only takes like 25 people like him to tip the state from red to blue. Montana could could be a similar dynamic.
Bloomberg shoulda spent his billions relocating some Cali kids to Wyoming and Montana for a few months and putting them up in trailers or something and getting them registered to vote and taking their EVs and such.
Sorry to derail, but figured I’d get the quickest best answer here
Does anyone know how to look up which states allow ballot harvesting? A friend of mine from IL has covid and can’t vote tomorrow. I know some states will allow a family member to drop off a ballot. I’m Googling it, but don’t see IL as one of the states. Is she screwed?
Edit: I see which states definitely allow it, but I know there are more that might allow it and can’t find out which ones
I can’t confirm from personal experience, but, based on this, it reads like Illinois allows someone else to turn in your absentee ballot. There should be a line somewhere on the ballot where the voter identifies the person who they are authorizing to turn it in for them.
Strategic loss. R’s have a lock on Texas any way. This decision makes the more impactful ones seem more impartial. He’s just giving cover for future bad decisions… “See, R appointees don’t always rule against Dems. They can be fair.”
