I think is basically where we though we were at after the ruling last week (and that tweet might even just be resummarizing that ruling). The court could have acted super quickly and made a definitive ruling, but the only way to do that would have been by “fast tracking” (in other words, bypassing some of the usual procedural steps that have to occur before a case gets to SCOTUS).
So, ultimately, there’s still no definitive ruling on the issue, SCOTUS could still decide to invalidate ballots postmarked by election day but received after that, and election officials in PA are reportedly separating those ballots so that they can be identified in case a negative ruling comes down later.
(Tl/dr: good guys winning for now, but we still have a sweat)

The #1 thing I’m worried about is pollsters having difficulty modeling the Ds vote by mail, Rs vote election day thing. Hard to know if they will get that right if they have never done it before.

I can see Trump doing an arena speaking tour, charging admission and just pocketing money without declaring himself a candidate. But maybe dangling that possibility to his flock. There are a few complicating factors though. He’d be restricted by coronavirus limits on crowd sizes and I don’t know if the secret service would be able to guarantee protection without charging him. Most Presidents keep pretty low profiles after leaving office. Also not sure if he’d draw huge crowds if people actually had to pay to see him.
