Florida and NC count quickly. Around 10 or 11 pm EST, weāll know how close those are and how they line up with projections.

Macallan 25 is a worse value. A heavily peated scotch you donāt like is a worse value. Johnny Blue is not what I would call a good value but itās a great scotch, and itās more complex and consistent than any single malt because itās a blend of a bunch of great single malt scotches. They can blend it so that it tastes more or less the same every time, even if that requires different amounts of each scotch than in previous years. And thatās the strength of blends, in both scotch and wine.

If this country goes authoritarian my guess would be that it would be taken there by someone promising a government run by the experts. This authoritarian probably gets pretty good results in their lifetime too. Very likely going into the history books as the person who saved the world from climate changeā¦
We might have a Roman Empire second act in us. Our Democracy is pretty dysfunctional at this point. Weāre all sitting here hoping some idiots donāt burn down a building full of ballots in Philly between now and the end of next week. This is getting pretty stupid and Iām getting tired of having to care about the opinions of stupid people.
Like theyāre so fucking stupid that some assholes are using their stupidity to get them to vote to make life harder for stupid people. Iām tired of their worthless totally uninformed opinions mattering to the process at any point.
And feelings like this, which after the experience in my lifetime of the US political process are pretty reasonable, are probably exactly what they hope is connecting with us in China.

I think the needle decision is pretty responsible and think its one more sign that some media outlets (some of the time) are genuinely trying to be more responsible with this election coverage. NYTimes still terrible.
