Seems lower R vote, relatively, even though no in-person election day voting. Also, though widely assumed already, more evidence of high turnout election.
dunno if it got posted, but in the batch of news, remember the USPS and how people figured out the mail wasn’t gonna be sorted on time, about that, it’s still not.
It’s funny, my 11-year-old (will be 12 in December) still calls me “da-da.” I don’t think it’s because he’s acting like a baby, I think it’s just because he got used to calling me that. I was thinking the other day that I’m going to be sad when he stops saying it.
I noticed my daughter, who turns 14 in a few days, calls me that every so often, clearly because she hears her brother saying it. It’s rare, but it happens once in a while.
this is great but my only critique would be to not include any stops in red states and to have the trains underground so i don’t have to see the shithole parts of the country.
also cover the underground tunnels with thick reinforced barriers because republican terrorists will surely attack the trains out of fear of train technology
I agree, but some of the “new” lines exist already (e.g. Pacific Surfliner between SD and LA). So, some of the new lines are probably not ground-up construction, but modernization of existing lines.
Agreed. When the Rudd government here proposed a Sydney - Melbourne high speed train link, the estimated cost was $A 25 billion ($US 17.75 billion) and that was in 2008 and for a single project of 545 miles.
Which seems weird to me as I posted earlier. A right wing theocracy is surely super bad for them.
Like sure Trump absolutely fucks up the US and its alliances, but the US military will still be the dominate one for at least the like next 20+ years and has nukes. Plus the sanctions are absolutely killing the country to the point there have been massive protests. Seems destabilizing.
I get why China and Russia would want Trump to win, but I would Iran being #1 on the hitlist and suffering horribly under right wing sanctions would put them firmly in the Biden camp.
Plus they’re way more favorable to the Saudis than Biden would be. Not that Biden wouldn’t be a schmuck for the Saudis, but Trump is completely and totally in their pocket.
