How about we messed up by allowing a legal system to stand that makes it very difficult to arrest let alone convict cops who murder civilians. Here is the legislation I am proposing to the state assembly to correct that issue.

Yeah we’re likely to see a big surge in cases in Minneapolis in a couple weeks.

All the images I’ve seen have shown the majority of protestors wearing face coverings (albeit cloth masks for the most part), so maybe this will also be a case study in how effective cloth face coverings are.

Reporters pointing out that their sources said before noon yesterday that police would be abandoning 3rd precinct - confirming the source posted here (I forget who posted, sorry). Governor denying that was the plan.

My conspiracy theory isn’t getting any love. Let me try again.

1. Prosecutors want the four officers arrested as the evidence is overwhelming.
2. A very large rogue faction of Minneapolis police is refusing to make the arrests.
3. Instead they have formed a human shield around the home of the primary suspect.
4. Other agencies have been called in but cannot make the arrests without going through the other cops.
5. US Attorney said she was going to have news yesterday and delayed news conference for two hours only to have no news.
6. She was the first one to talk even though the criminal case is in the hands of the county prosecutor and kept referring to the fact that Bill Barr and the President are monitoring.
7. Meanwhile, they buy time by saying they are still investigating.
8. I may be totally wrong and its just a routine case of prosecutors protecting the cops.

Did you see how many cops were surrounding the suspect’s house? Were they just trying to protect him from rioters?

A police precinct burned last night. So, yeah, I’m pretty sure the simplest explanation here is the correct one.

Yeah I mean to be clear I’m not saying “oh these protests only serve to help the right”. I’m in favor of them. I felt some immense catharsis watching that precinct burn. I just don’t think the police/DA are looking at this in the context of “don’t you realize you can stop this by arresting the murderer?” They’ll arrest him in 3-4 days and smugly be like “see, you just needed to let the system do its job”. Then in a year they’ll all be acquitted.

I kind of think the 3rd precinct abandonment was a contingency plan in case things kicked off last night. I saw video of the cops convoying out after dark.
