The only thing I’m “using” her to forward is that there are people all over the world that believe in the ideals we’re supposed to represent and utilize here, and who want to come here and do their part to keep moving us in that direction. If someone who’s dealt with that many more disadvantages and that much more unfairness still thinks we have a chance to live up to our ideals, well fuck, I’m impressed by their resolve and I wish we had some more of it.
If 20% of the population here thought like her, we’d have fixed these problems decades ago.
