Police Murder George Floyd Then Riot Nationwide (Links to Streams in OP)

Kinda surprised nobody has posted or talked about any live streams. Hopefully people aren’t getting bored/tired of them.

This one is interesting. There is a decently large group gathered around a house with people sharing their ideas on what to do moving forward

Edit: Looks like the reporter left the scene.

Fixed your post.

He’s also apparently been fired.

I’ve seen comments that he’s been using his time to scrub his social media, but it appears he was some sort of marketing executive for “a team of seasoned branding experts delivering creative marketing solutions to premier brands worldwide.” I may have found the one job that is less essential than a poker player.

Can George Floyd be awarded the Medal of Freedom posthumously?

I’ve been seeing a lot of these commercials for Ancestry.com where they have people discovering that their forefathers fought bravely in WWI or founded a newspaper or some shit like that. Would a more realistic commercial have white people discovering that their grandfather lynched someone, their great-great-great grandfather was a slaveholder, another relative participated in a massacre of Native Americans, etc?

Yes. Trump gave it to Babe Ruth and Elvis Presley a couple of years ago.

I’ll take it that your seemingly serious answer to my seemingly serious question shows that you are in on the “joke”.

I’m sure someone else here can debate it much better than I, but he clearly wasn’t saying socialism/communism couldnt have that, just tearing down capitalism.

“We’re worried about him, and we are worried about his future and the safety of our citizens,” McBride said Friday. “Yesterday he smeared every single police officer in Los Angeles and across the nation by calling us killers.”

McBride, a 30-year veteran of the police department, said union members have lost “all confidence” in the mayor, although the union has not undertaken a formal no-confidence vote.

On Friday morning, LAPPL issued a blistering statement in response to the comment that stated: “Eric has apparently lost his damn mind,” and suggesting that if the city had a charter provision allowing the removal of a mayor for illness or incapacity, “we’d plead for it to be invoked.”

Police unions tho

The thing about police unions is that they are full of cops.

“We’re worried about him.”

Sort of sounds like… “Great mayor you’ve got there, it’d be a shame if anything happened to him…”

I’ve got an idea for the slogan committee: “Abolish Police Unions”.

Catching up on this thread. My first thought when I saw the mass resignations from the ERT is the department should make it a complete separation.

But lol police unions.

you think that has anything to do with the Hmong officer involved or would they think the same think if it were four white guys?

Well that, of course. But, the real problem is that they are de facto Yellow Unions. Cop unions represent the interests of the cop bosses.

The current cop unions need to be reformed, of course. Why the fuck some are allowed to be AFL-CIO is simply beyond me. But cop unions are not the cause of the problem, the current cop unions are but another symptom.

All working folk have a right to organize, yes even cops, yes even military workers, of course prison workers… every worker, full stop. Government union busting is always wrong, full stop.

Derek Chauvin will probably get the Medal of Freedom.

Obama would have invited both Chauvin and Floyd to the White House for a beer and then given them both the Medal of Freedom. Hillary would have done the same think except cracked a colored people’s time joke when Floyd no-showed.
