Poker shitposting

Meeting a friend to play 20 and playing 4/8 while I wait and like, not news but the fundamentals of 4/8 players are just so bad.

It sends off my “ooh great game!!” Alarms but like … duh it’s 4/8.

Every time I act the 4 players to my left either have chips in hand or are READY to fold :)

I have the pleasure of dealing that game very regularly. It’s not poker. It’s the cemetery’s waiting room where they try to ciphon off as much promo money as possible. It’s hilarious when a random person sits in the game and raises. Oh the horror. The immediate groans of “that’s not how we play this game” and " why would you put $8 in before even seeing the flop" are funny every time.

But they play fast, tip every hand, almost always tip 10% for high hands, and a few of them are super sweet, so I don’t completely hate the game.

Last time I played 3/6 I am pretty sure I was playing with 4 married couples and they looked at me like “what the fuck are you doing here”. I got to witness this gem though: woman raises pre (already a rare event) guy to her left 3bets. Folds around to her and she folds KK face up. Guy flashes AA as he drags in her $6.

We have a casino that plays 4/8 Omaha. That’s the closest to a slot machine poker can get.

Was it O8? I used to play that as 4/8 limit and yeah, at least 7 to the flop every hand, often raised or 3bet.

Straight limit Omaha. Pure lottery.

Yep that too. Back when I was trying to make some side money in LHE the biggest limit game around was 20/40 but it was a round by round of LHE and LOH. It was a mess. None of us knew what we were doing. I just stuck to 10/20 mostly.

Boulder Station in Vegas has limit omaha high-only as high as 15/30.

What is that 2-4 mix limit Omaha?

Half High - Half O8 probably

Some chance it includes hold em or pineapple.

This was a fun hand.

20/40 in AC.

UTG limper, I raise with 55, limped calls. Limper is old and loose passive. Flop is 764 and he check raises which means v good hand. I call. Turn is a 2. He bets I call. River is a 5. He bets and I do what?

Bluff-raise him off of top set?

Call, imo.

I thought, then found a raise. Got called and won :)

How the hell do you get called there. I want in this game.

It’s limit hold’em and the pot is offering huge odds. It may be a mistake, but probably not a massive one.

I thought about that too, but I’m not very good.

Oh I didn’t put together it was limit.
