I haven’t followed poker since Black Friday but these games look crazy soft. What happened to all the guys from back then? It’s all random 25 year olds? Feeling confused.
whats your question? hustlers is a private game. they built it around popular figures (like Mariano), whales and people who live in the same house as the producer.
I guess that it’s a private game explains why the games look so soft. My question is how did all these young guys get so much money independent of online poker? Live poker is like 30 hands an hour. It would take a lifetime to be able to grind that up to sitting with half a million.
Crypto is usually a good answer. Parents is another. Sometimes their parents have crypto. Mariano actually rose up the stakes playing live while vlogging but he’s the exception.

Weird live spot.
Private game. Hand in progress someone bets and get called on turn. Dealer drops the deck. She picks it up says everything is okay. Deals river 9d. Someone says he folded that card (that player called preflop and flop and folded on the turn)
Assume he 100% right.
What do you do from here? Play as dealt, shuffle and deal a new river?
I stop it pre card reveal and get it confirmed by all active players that the deck is good/correct. Once that is confirmed then Id peel the river and play it as it lies even if it is a card that shouldnt be eligible to come out.
This sounds like a major drop and mixing of the deck for a folded card to get dealt. This sounds like a dead hand and reimburse all bets.

dnegs took a bet vs berkey. Landon is the solver kid vs Jeremy Becker who is known for winning daily tournaments on the strip.
Becker has twice the lifetime earnings of Tice.

i mean i’m rooting for the grinder kid but Landon is way more accomplished poker player.
Gotta give him credit though, he must play the most live mtts a year in the whole goddamn world. reaching 1.5m in career winnings with your biggest win being 50k and he’s only in his mid 20s.
Obviously it is just one data point but another is Berkey is betting one side and Dnegs the other. Finally Tice seems like an idiot from everything I’ve ever heard of him.
That said I’m biased as I find Berkey insufferable. He is Doug Polk light.
How are they getting more than 10 hands/hour in this given player and dealer skill. Seems like it will be brutal.
NL double board bomb pots are kind of dumb. PLO gets really tedious with a full table.
