seems like he’s down… a lot of money in poker tournaments in his life (edit–that tracker has him over 200k down the last 3 years)

for as nitty as he seems off the felt, this is interesting. Either he’s loaded and doesn’t have to do that at all off the felt and just does it anyway or he’s basically busto but somehow has or gets money for the poker.

I still rarely want to play one, can’t imagine doing it while expecting to lose. I should’ve went for a few at wsop this year but oh wells. Maybe next year.

or even funnier, who the hell is buying his action people are really dumb, I’ve never sold action myself. I’ve actually won money in tournaments lifetime. Sure it’s not crushing figures and not much of live play and I don’t play that much anymore but just need one big sucker to buy at markup.

Did they factor in the comps?

Definitely the jumbo cards for the old dudes. When I’m one I’m gonna want that too.

Not for me my eyes are great, but so the rest of the table isn’t spending three minutes every hand staring at the board

Mason has said a lot of dumb stuff. This is for sure the dumbest.

Hall of fame nominees.

One of these is not like the others. Who the fuck is bill smith!

  • Josh Arieh — Won five WSOP bracelets and 2021 WSOP Player of the Year.
  • Jeremy Ausmus — Six-time bracelet winner.
  • Ted Forrest — Long-time stud cash game crusher with six bracelets.
  • Kathy Liebert — One of the top female poker players of all-time.
  • Mike Matusow — Four bracelets and one of the top players in the world during the 2000s.
  • Lon McEachern and Norman Chad — Announcers for the WSOP since 2003.
  • Brian Rast — Five-time bracelet winner and high-stakes cash game crusher.
  • Matt Savage — Played key role in creating uniform tournament poker rules.
  • Isai Scheinberg — PokerStars founder and contributed to growth of online poker.

Rast about to win his 3rd 50k player championship so he’s gonna get in (he has a 26-4 going into heads up)

Feels like matasow or the annoying announcers gonna get in.

That was a quick heads up match.

he won basically drunk in 85, TJ Cloutier called him the best player when halfway drunk but he was usually fully drunk, he has two fifths in the main as well (81, 86)

when asked about his life when he won he said “I just drink and gamble”

too many people got their pals in so it’s become fairly weak standards to get in anyway.

looks like 8000 entered the seniors event that’s pretty wild numbers

I’d bet my life savings that dude never gets in.

maybe but there’s quite a few “who” in there already

I just played such a crazy live session. Was up 20k down 20k and won 400 bucks at the end. My head is spinning.

4 card?

I lost 90% of my bankroll and got it back in two hours once way back in the early era thanks to PLO vs absolute morons (people going allin obviously dead to runners what an era) and what is bankroll management? I should’ve just nitted it up and gone for trying to get them to pay me off at the end instead then but live and learn.
