yea - feelsbadman. poor dealers IME have a hard time when they have to deal stud variants. there’s some good dealers at commerce that know how to deal mexican poker, which, you should definitely definitely look up if you dont know what it is.

there’s a joker involved.

Had to google playtika. As I said, people make no sense to me.

In my PLO game there is a guy who regularly plays slots on his phone whole time so I asked him once how he did. Turns out it’s all play money.

Why would a human play fake money slots while playing real money for thousands in PLO.

Humans are fucked.

fun story - I had a nearly 6 figure job offer in my senior year of college which was fucking nuts for me, a mobile game designer wanted to take all these scammy games that prey on elderly boomers on flip phones and port them to smart phones.

it was an extremely interesting technical challenge but the ceo described the business model to me and i felt physically ill and didnt accept it

^^ THEY DO

I’ll have to ask him next time. It honestly hadn’t crossed my mind that was a thing. I naively assumed when playing fake money you just got to auto reload when you ran out.

Apparently I am not too bright.

Pokerstars home games take no rake. Would set up a game that way, most likely. If you are genuinely serious, I would ask as a courtesy that we do live webcams with each other and stream on a 15 minute delay.

Majority of these companies are israeli and i had tons of offers to move there in the early 2010s. I worked for one after the major boom and left out of boredom yet it somehow took off later.

My first boss at 888 left for playtika and was one of their first employees. I got promoted to poker room manager and made like 90k a year and he now worth 9 figs

There’s a “PoliticsUnstuck” home game club already set up on PS if that’s helpful at all. Someone started it when the pandemic first locked us down. The manager is @MeansSeizer tho and I’m not sure who that is

Most importantly, work on your up pitch. Should be very similar to your down pitch. Don’t look at the cards as you flip them, players hate when a dealer sees the card before they do.

Talk the game. Announce new pairs. Players hate when a dealer doesn’t do that.

Know what betting increment you’re on. Players will get it wrong frequently, and if you don’t immediately correct them other players will yell at you. Zero or one burn card, smaller limit. Two or more burn cards is the bigger limit.

Don’t expect any tips, other than on how to be a better dealer.

Stud can be a really fun game to deal with the right players at the table. It can also be the most miserable half hour of the day with the wrong (read: usual) players.

I’ve become aware of a request to have a webcam. I am looking at my laptop and have noticed I’ve never even removed the sticker from the webcam so this is starting to turn into A Thing.

I am learning all kinds of shit today. I have never seen players complain about dealer seeing cards. Why do they care?

6ix is going to play HU like Trump is going to testify at the Jan 6 hearing.

A lot of stud players are miserable octogenarians who just look for things to bitch about. They live to complain. That was one of the things I was taught not to do, so I’ve personally never had that complaint but have heard them bitch about shitty dealers doing that.

One of the best games I ever dealt was a $100/$200 heads up stud game with two of the nicest people. But 95% of stud games are sad and miserable.

Lol I know, but much like stud players don’t miss an opportunity to complain, I don’t miss an opportunity to complain about them.
