Calling this woman a cheat in front of the entire poker world based on literally one hand where an obvious donk didn’t play according to the way he expected her to, blowing up this incredibly lucrative game because of it, demanding his money back, then further attacking this woman by saying that he didn’t demand the money back, is just, lol huge spoiled douchebag territory.

Yes, as well as many bigger name pros on Twitter. These kind of moments also absolutely kill games as well bc the vibe is just dead and not recoverable.
I’d rack up after that hand most of the time easily.
As Yuv, commonwealth etc have said, private games can be weird and shady. There is already shady shit going on in these hustler games due to people playing with 0% of themselves, swapping action, selling huge amounts etc.
It’s hard to trust every home game. Very easy for things to not be on the up.
It did, but its essentially a glorified home game. It’s invite only, you can’t just put your name on your list to play.

What do you mean by freerolled? You are saying she had 0% of herself which is just absurd.
In the moment it’s very hard to be 100% sure they’re not cheating. Even if they just saw your cards or something, I’m going home at that point.
A fun game with a good vibe will also just be dead as well.

Because the poker pro community is pretty small? Hbob knows Faraz. Plenty of my friends know Faraz. If he’s coaching her for the game he would know her buyin situation.
Not that many people regularly play 10ks+. It’s still like ~100 people.
If she was bought in in full, it’s very possible it was disclosed before the stream started to the other participants and has since leaked.
I think it also tells you if it thinks a card is damaged or dirty. I feel like once in a while I’ve seen a dealer pull the deck out and spread it, then locate a specific card and check it carefully and clean it up before putting the deck back in.
So in that sense the card-reading functionality is used on every shuffle.
I would hope that this “diagnostic” phase is completely separated from the shuffling phase, and that there’s no way, even in theory, for the machine to “know” the card order of a shuffled deck. But this is just speculation on my part and given the huge incentive to find an exploit, I wouldn’t bet against it.
And you’ve got guys like Polk and Berkey and Joey texting/calling a bunch of people they know about the situation. I don’t know anyone that runs in the particular circles that were in this game, but I was getting some inside-ish info about the RTA/high roller collusion scandal from a group chat despite never coming near playing any of those myself.

Depends on who bought her in and whether they were in the game and whether they are also being looked at. Generally a lot of this stuff is kept very quiet when it goes down. Given that it’s very hard to ever have conclusive evidence, it’s not at all uncommon to receive a text like, “Hey, I see X is at your table, it wasn’t proven but there’s some talk they were doing Y shady/cheating thing in so and so’s game, keep an eye out!”
This would explain a lot of Garrett’s reaction IMO, but who knows.
