If I were to show card, I’d always show the ace. And I do occasionally show that card.
I might 3bet a suited ace rag, but never an offsuit one.

I call 3b with suited Ax against the right opponents if we’re deep enough.
What hand range would a good player be showing up with if calling pre in a 3bet 4- or 5-way pot in this game?
It’s quite entertaining to read this post and then follow it up with your work itt.
It can be disruptive to make people afraid of being back-raised.
Suited yes. Off suit I’m guessing never.
Nobody good is scared of this. Nits do it so infrequently, and you can just snap fold, that it barely forms a rounding error in their win rate.
There are good players I have played against who I catch glancing at me when deciding if they want to raise preflop, trying to discern whether I might raise them.
It’s PLO and I back-raise with a range wider than AAxx preflop. You can’t snap-fold a rundown. You should probably fold AKKx, but most people won’t do that, even good players.
Think they’ll include the cheating at poker part?
I know I’m in the minority but I voted dnegs. I would be absolutely miserable playing against Hellmuth, even if my odds of actually turning a profit would be much higher. I think I’d really enjoy playing against Daniel.
Pretty much never, yeah.
If I sat at a table with DN, I’d be tempted to see if blinking my eyes weirdly can trigger his Tourette’s.

When I was watching the broadcast I heard Joey Ingram say he seemed surprised that as a pro Phil didn’t have more money in front of him in order to try to fleece the creators.
I guess Joey’s been living without TV or internet that past 10 years.
The insane thing about it is he has the money. He lacks a basic level understanding of poker strategy after 30 years. You have to be very stupid to not have gained this basic level of understanding after dedicating yourself to one thing for your entire life.
He’s just relentlessly narcissistic and annoying.
The defining element of the social media era is absolutely awful people thriving while the decent majority watches helplessly.
Does he though? Seemed like scared money to me.
I don’t know for sure obviously but people who know him like dnegs and berky say he does. Let’s assume he doesn’t. You don’t think he gets staked by one of his rich buddies in the juiciest game of all time?
I genuinely think it’s very simple. He is actually that bad at poker. I don’t know why some people refuse to accept this no matter how much obvious evidence is shown.
There is no reason to be short in that game other than a fundamental poor understanding of absolutely basic poker strategy.
