3b way bigger tho.
This was a classic Ignition Poker setup hand. I’m a cooler and bad beat away from being out of the tournament now.
My last Bovada tournament I was feeling good as chip leader getting near money. 2nd place guy gets it all in with my AA vs. 1010. Wah wah. Squeezed into the $$ barely. First tournament I had played in a year or more.
I’m getting the pattern down. Just folded JJ pre versus AA, QQ, and 55. Not this time, bitches.
Alternatively, limp pre so you can fold flop.
Finished 44th after all that whining about setups and coolers, but almost half of the prize pool is at the final table and top three is where the prizes start getting respectable. The amount of luck required to get there is depressing.
LOLAMENTS
I’ve heard the same five people make the final table every tournament.
Every one of them an Ignition bot.
They know how to rip pots.
Work politics and poker ethics question…
A bunch of guys from my new company get together online and live once in a while to play poker. Small stakes. Lose less than $100 each time. I’ve played a few of their SNGs and last night played live. They are a bunch of cool people and it’s really fun but they are horrible. It’s literally hard to lose. I ended up purposely losing last night after winning two SNGs.
They have said they don’t mind I win and they want to learn but I still feel bad. Should I just play my game and win an insane amount of times or purposely lose sometimes?
Just win. Make a point to care more about being social than whether you’re on your A game or not. But no reason to purposely lose.
heynow, bovada mini main event, $109 with 200k gtd is a pretty nice tournament
meanwhile i’m so angry about the main event being $450 with only 500k gtd i’m probably not even gonna play it unless it somehow smashes guarantee in late reg
Biggest NLH hand online ever. This record will be broken again within 24 hours. I don’t get the ggpoker is. It 100% runs on credit via agents.
I just won a sit-n-go by flopping quad 8’s versus KK and smooth calling his flop, turn, and river all-in and I ran my time bank down to 3 seconds before calling the river. I never knew slow rolling could be so much fun!
You could win as often as you can playing straight up and then eventually treat the group (pay for a meal or booze or some nice wine if that’s their thing) with some of your winnings. This way they get to learn poker and then really like you for doing something nice for them.
But yeah don’t lose on purpose. You don’t want an awkward situation if somehow someone realizes you’re doing that.
Seems GG has massive problems again. DDOS attack apparently. Then there are the discussions about their behaviour with bans. Not sure I want to keep money on this site.
Anyone play Pineapple on iOS?
I know people that do but you don’t want to play them.
If brags are ok so are beats:
Global $100 NL
I have around $90. Villain has around $120.
A few callers, villain raises to $5, folds to me on the button with QhQs. I make it $15 to go. BB and villain call.
Flop is KcQc2s. Checks to me, I decide to take it down or make Global’s ever present flush chasers pay for the privilege, so I push. BB folds, villain tanks forever and calls with KhJc.
