I just had a guy limp in MP and call a raise with 3777 rainbow. Eff stacks of 100 in 2/5 6 max plo. Legit the first time I’ve ever seen that.
They thought they had trip 7s???
Seen it a bunch on stars zoom of late. Not a “lot,” but probably once a day I see them reach showdown, so God knows how often they’re actually playing them. A few months back at 100z I had a guy get in a full stack with 444Q.
They sure did after the flop. Lol
I was playing live one time and had T998 in a five-way three-bet pot. Flop comes 994. Guy with AAxx bets. I flat. Another guy behind me raises. AAxx folds. I got it in against what turned out to be A444ss. He was sure he was against two 9xxx hands.
Most of the guys who play trips in their hand are idiot stations, but some are aggressive types who overvalue blockers and their ability to push people off of hands. They also get off on bluffing and showing bad hands.
These Bovada PLO games are extra juicy right now… I’m definitely on a heater, but I’m seeing wild shit every night. Step 1 - make the nuts. Step 2 - Pot. Step 3 - they call with top pair.
I played a plo sng many years ago on stars and saw AAK7 vs KKK7r aipf. Im sure it happens a decent amount, but only time ive ever seen someone drawing dead preflop.
Ya it is very hard to be dead preflop in Omaha.
Lol shouldnt have waited till the last moments to get money on to GG. Weekly and monthly deposit limits. Oh well so its just one colossus bullet and no PLO. Maybe I should take that as a sign. :D
lol wut
dammit I really need to find my login info
I have no idea how to come up with hand ranges for opponents in that spot in order to figure out what hands I should call with.
You can also sign up for an Ignition account, it’s just a skin and you can get another first deposit bonus.
I would think anyone open shoving 75 BB UTG is probably someone you should call with QQ
I’m more interested in thinking about the worst hand you should call with in this spot.
AQs with a read for t75bb. Probably 99 on the big blind. The AK jam is atrocious but if he knows people are itching to call t50+bb jams with T9 then it can’t be that bad.
I’m a mostly live player (though I wonder if a lot of the bovada/ignition player pool are displaced live players), but in my experience, live fish put out ginormous preflop raises with hands they absolutely do not want to get called/3-bet, because they are “good” hands that they don’t know how to play postflop. The vast majority of the time that means AK or JJ, but can also be AQ or TT.
Make of that what you will.
That’s the easy part. I have a harder time coming up with a range for CO.
Yeah, that’s tougher. I’d probably rely on observing his play up to that point. For complete unknowns I tend to assume fish, though I definitely wouldn’t put T9 in his calling range. Probably AJs+ and 99+ (for the CO range, I mean)
ETA: my calling range in BB is a little tighter than Tip’s, AKo and JJ+ for me, but I’m a nit.
