Poker Hands and Strategy

Get zeejustin in the pic, then it’d definitely be over $30M. I don’t know most of the faces, but I assume they were big winners back in the day. However, most winners are/were not that disciplined with money, and bitcoin has gone down quite a bit (but it’s high enough that they probably have a some real money).

From left to right - apathy, usher, fiery justice, deuce2high, bonafone (who had a massive health scare and almost died), durrr and in back I always forget that dude’s sn. He wasn’t a super baller I don’t think.

Based on who’s in the pic I wouldn’t be surprised if raptor took it. They also hung out with good2cu a lot who might be ahead of all of them right now in net worth.

I don’t think any of them hung out with ZJ - who’s kind of weird but I guess has friends and does poly-amory with them.

When I met ZJ he was living with his bro and some friends in a basic 1970s apartment in like Studio City/Burbank, a bit north of the 101/134. He’s a bit unusual, but his results certainly speak for themself. I think he’s been in Vegas for at least the past decade, dunno.

I saw an add for a VPN product that lets you choose the city where you want the VPN to be located. So how quickly would I be in jail if I signed up for that and played online poker in a state that has made this a felony?

over on 50m, 4 of those guys are playing nosebleeds in china right now and i heard the big man has some giant sportsbetting OP with some other high rollers that is crushing

for suzzer obv

I set up an Ignition Poker account and am trying to get a Coinbase account funded and they’re declining me due to suspicious activity. My bank is hyper vigilant about shit like this…goddamit!!

my bank is also hit or miss on that :\

Glad I went on a $5k downswong with one min-cash in like 50 buyins right before poker died. Doesn’t exactly leave me yearning for it.

Anyone watch poker players on YouTube or Twitch?

I’ve been watching Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme live poker vlogs and the Staples bros stream highlights.

Problem is I’m not sure how good these players really are and if I should be trying to take anything away from their game other than the entertainment factor.

Wasn’t there some software where you could all see each other on webcam while you play? If it works they should let commerce and the other places open online rooms. Of course they’d need to retrain their dealers and servers as tech support people.

I disagree with a lot of their plays, but I’m still trying to figure out if I suck or not. Those two are probably the top two vloggers, but I also watch Rampage Poker and Wes Cutshall a bit. Also Jamon Burton, but he annoys me a little because he always sounds like he’s whining. The only two I’m subscribed to are Neeme and Owen. For online tourney action I watch Buehlero and Lex Vuildhuis. Both are pretty funny and talk through their decisions. They both appear to be very good players and are pretty funny, but they swear a lot and get super pissed when they get sucked out on. TonkAAAA is also really good at tourneys and funny. I think he quit making content quite a while ago, but it’s still on YT.

Owen and Neeme have a history of being live pros for several years before getting into vlogging. I think their A game is tight, disciplined play and they suffer when they try to make entertaining plays for the vlog.

they seem like relatively solid players, it depends on where you’re at. they arent donks or anything. if you want the good shit, find the DTO app. the owner streams it sometimes, Twitch

i’m gonna be streaming for the next couple weeks i think

Owen just burns money, you can see how consistently he has bad hands oop in big pots.
Neeme is a fine nitty reg, will crush 2/5 and be good enough for most 5/10 lineups.
Staples is Lolbad, nice enough guy but when not on stake he’s not beating anything above $100 buyins.

My local casino shutdown Friday, postponed their series that’s in late April.
Wynn shutting down for 2 weeks.

I went to the casino yesterday for poker. Around half the number of players as normal for a Saturday. Lost a few hundred which based on the bar picture rage I probably deserve. They announced while I was there they were closing Monday.

LaTB coming through with the replays. Hope this is a regular thing while the Bike is closed

Edit: it appears they are streaming old episodes which is pretty great background noise imo

Poor Doug seems kinda grumpy

Doug trying to be a dollar store Nate Silver wasn’t a smart move.

So can someone explain this poker bros app to me like I’m 5.

You have to join a club (how?) and can only play games against people in that club? And the people that run the club are the ones you pay for chips and they pay you when you cash out? Do you pay in crypto? This all seems like an easy way to get scammed.
