Why don’t they just ask the guy directly about Trump trying to grab the wheel? Does congress not have the authority to subpoena the secret service or something?
I can’t really picture it either. His gut would be in the way. But yeah, the description of events was unclear.
He already talked to the committee, it’s unknown if they asked him about it.
I think that’s the witness they’re talking about saying it didn’t happen. I mean Trump could have “lunged” at him and fallen back in his seat without having done much more than nudged the front seat and that would be such a shocking display of physical effort that the description and denial could both be accurate.

Seems like these public hearings are just reiterating prior testimony in a public setting.
The secret service dude already testified to the committee. There’s just no way they are asking about the incident and letting her say on national tv that it happened if they had any evidence to the contrary.

The thing about the SS agents and anyone else showing up to contradict today’s testimony is, they will be asked other questions, some of which they may not be so happy to answer, and if they refuse, their testimony on this question will look less credible. So let’s just see how really anxious they are to come in.
True story: I could credibly be called a source close to the Secret Service if I were at a family function with a certain relative.
