**Official** Physicists are freaks and very weird dudes LC Thread

Happy to see my UW at 15.

I’m biased but I think Suzzallo Library is a fantastic building.

Sean Connery as Gandalf is far weirder than Nick Nolte as Han Solo

Fate denied us a Christopher Walken Han Solo, never forget.

Kurt Russell would have been good imo

Whats the age gap between the creep and ratjakowski?

I was just watching an old Hollywood squares thing on Buzzer and the question was, “Which grow faster, fingernails or toenails?” The celebrity gave the correct answer and the contestant disagreed, but how can any sentient adult get this wrong?

It’s fingernails duh, how much more often do you have to clip or trim them?

I just shaved my entire face for the first time since before my son was born, almost 13 years ago.

I do not like it.

In case it’s not clear what that is, it’s from the Oscar winning drama Home Stallone

That brings back memories of when my dad shaved his beard off for the first time, when I was about 6, and I cried out in panic because I didn’t recognise him lol.

Hopefully your son had a more suitably mature response.

Lol, he talked to me like normal for like 2 minutes about something he was doing in Among Us, and then he said “Wait, you dont have a beard.” We had a good laugh about it.

Thankfully my dad also shaved of his porn star moustache from the 70’s, unfortunately it took until the 80’s to do so.

With a name like Thomas Chatterton Williams he never had a shot at a non-douche life.

I spent a long time thinking about this before replying. It never occurred to me that PCL was dreary, because it was filled with so many books. If you meant that it deserved more windows, yeah, I suppose that’s true. I am plenty familiar with the badassness of the archtecture library. Did not know about the life sciences library, but if you mention the main building I always think of Kinky Friedman:

If you don’t know this one, you should. Texas #1.

Also, those of you who truly love libraries must know my very close friends, Patience and Fortitude. Here’s a picture:

No one is forcing him to use his middle name - self inflicted douchery.

There was already a prominent author named Thomas Williams, so he may have felt compelled to use his middle name to differentiate them.

Well, it’s 70’s brutalist architecture. It’s fairly well done 70’s brutalist architecture, and areas like this were really fun to explore. All those brooding passageways and incoherent pedestrian flows really appealed to me. But they’re not exactly uplifting environments.

The upper stacks in the Life Science library are definitely worth a visit if you ever get the chance. They take up half of the upper floors of the main tower, and it’s this weirdly unfinished warren of low ceilings and strange little study nooks, usually occupied by students who really want to be left alone. Your presence will draw scowls. Oh, there’s a creepy elevator too. The whole place gives off vibes as somewhere you definitely shouldn’t be even though it’s open to the public.
