Gonna guess sausage, chips, gravy, chow mein, battered prawns, spring rolls, and fortune cookie. Lovely stuff.

If anyone thought Americanized Chinese food was bad, it seems like the UK has taken it to another level.

Americanized Chinese food is its own authentic cuisine at this point. Some of it is great and some of it is terrible.

I think you being way to generous.

Chicken Balls with chow mein and curry sauce with chips with shredded chicken and spring rolls with a fortune cookie.

Edit: If itā€™s battered prawns then fair play to her.

You know they say if itā€™s brown itā€™s good for you.

At least thatā€™s what they told me in the UK.

No wonder they eat so much curry and fish & chips.

From experience, a lot of it tastes better than regular Chinese food too. Well at least Chinese food from the mainland.

Well, you are American, right? It was designed for your palate, so what did you expect?

I donā€™t even know what I am anymore.

Anyway, American Chinese food isnā€™t just food from mainland China. Itā€™s really Americanized Chinese-influenced Asian food. A lof of the stuff eaten in America I never found an equivalent for when I lived in China. There are equivalents in Hong Kong, Taiwan, The Philippines and Singapore though.
