Just use TurboTax.
I would strongly advise against this. I think you are much better of just doing your own taxes through turbo tax (or similar) rather than paying an accountant to do it. There are several reasons.
-
Accountants and tax preparers make mistakes all the time. I’ve had a few high-priced accountants over the years, not one has provided a mistake-free return. Maybe I just ran bad, but I doubt it. I’d bet even money that a randomly picked accountant could not report a backdoor Roth correctly.
-
The most time consuming portion of tax preparation is just collecting all of the relevant documents. Once you have those, actually inputting them is fairly easy. You still have to collect and provide all the info to your preparer, so your time savings is not that great.
-
Doing your own taxes allows you to see where the money goes and lets you strategize better. When future financial decisions come up in your life, you will have a better sense of the tax implications and it will be easier to make better decisions.

If you absolutely want someone else, here is how I would do it. Do your taxes yourself and then find an accountant and pay him his hourly rate to look over your return and supporting documents to see if he can find a mistake or an improvement. I think it’s hard to find someone good who is willing to help you in this capacity, since it isn’t a huge money maker and around tax time people are busy. I had someone who did this for me as kind of a favor, but he has since retired and I haven’t been arsed up to find someone else. I would just take all my stuff down to his office and just sit there with him as he looked over everything. I paid for an hour, but it never took more than that.
? Isn’t rusher far and away #1?
Interesting geography(square miles)/population stats:

On a flight a few years ago I was seated next to someone originally from Churchill Manitoba. The only reason I remember that is because he showed it to me on his phone and I was just floored people actually lived that far north. The dude was an engineer and worked on hydroelectric dams and was coming in as a consultant to one in the US.
Doesn’t look like it:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_and_dependencies_by_area
Total area and water area figures include area covered by freshwater only and do not include internal waters (non-freshwater) of about 1,600,000 km2, nor territorial waters of 200,000 km2
So many lakes in Canada. Has more water area than Russia.
God damn Russia is nearly twice the size of Canada, lol imagine trying to invade and conquer that. Mongols were wild as fuck, although back then it was more city states.
ok, hear me out here
there are at least some dipshits who literally are opposed to DC/Puerto Rico statehood on purely aesthetic grounds, i.e. they like the idea of a nice round number of states and they’re really worried about what the flag would look like.
well, holy shit, I have figured out how to completely eliminate these objections.
I forget who, but someone here suggested that we give the Dakotas back to the Native Americans.
51 stars is easy - 6 alternating rows of 8 and 9
I would arrange them so they spell out BLM.
T-Mobile 5G home internet recently became available here. Until now Comcast was the only option and they’re implementing data caps this year.
Just plugged it in and I’m getting anywhere from 200-300 Mbps - amazing. I pay for 200 from Comcast and I actually get maybe 60-70. 25 bucks cheaper per month, too.
Pretty soon Obama will know the correct number of states, I hope.
the correct answer is “since it can’t be done, let’s just go straight for 52”
You guys ever wax your girls armpits??
52 is a little tougher. Might have to go 8 columns of alternating length between 6 and 7.
53 is a disaster - prime number.
I thought about kink shaming, but I reconsidered as I did not want to face the wrath of clovis.
It’s a no for me. I’m curious how this issue even came up. I’d think being vaccinated would prevent this issue from coming up now as seeing a professional would be fine.
