Too cold to think about bbq!
Ribs are great, and easy to get right. Brisket is difficult and rarely done right, but done right, itās the king of bbq.
Iāve heard nano say zoomer. Itās kind of silly/joking, but itās a thing.
Yeah, Iāve heard it, but I think Gen Z is the term with the most staying power. Granted, I also thought āmillennialā was a stupid term that wouldnāt stick, and yet even āxennial,ā an even stupider term, gets bandied about from time to time.
I see āzoomerā far more than āGen Zā, pretty sure zoomer is here to stay.
Zoomer is a massive favorite to win the naming battle.
Iād be pretty pissed if people called me and my cohorts something ridiculous like zoomers.
OK, Boomer.
This reminds me, I donāt think Iāve read any Douglas Coupland books since Girlfriend in a Coma. Are any of them good?
All of those terms are pretty bad imo apart from maybe Generation X which seems to sum up that semi-generation reasonably well - the postpunk latchkey kids.
Itās pretty hard to make fun of millennials, because weāre all in on the joke. Some of the best anti millennial humor is made by millennials. I think as a generation we donāt take ourselves very seriously.
I didnāt think any of them since Generation X were good and I didnāt even think Generation X was all that good.
ok boomer
Question for Brits or anyone with knowledge of BBC iPlayer: the new Adam Curtis series is available āfrom Feb 11thā. Does that mean midnight tonight, or is there some set time it becomes available? Is there any way to find out? Nowhere seems to mention.
Bout fucking time. Maybe we can do away with the Pledge of Allegiance in schools too while weāre at it.
The Republic will survive. From June:
Generally it will be uploaded between 12am and 6am alough I never been waiting at midnight to see when it exactly drops.
