Bean dad reminds me of growing up and being starving w no food in the house and we would ask our mom for food and she’d get angry and say food was in the cupboards and to handle it ourselves, but when we’d go look it’d literally just be beans that had been in there for over a year probably.

Were those jobs really any better? Wasn’t the pizza delivery guy just getting paid to depreciate his vehicle too?
Eliminating the middle man is better.
You can make pretty good money delivering depending on the place. And if someone else is taking a cut like grubhub you make less and still beat up your car.
Oh and some places you drive their cars.
Fair enough. However, I don’t think the grubhub type apps are really going to do much to pizza places and the like where they have always had and rely on delivery drivers. But it certainly doesn’t help, so I guess these jobs will be hurt a bit.
Where grubhub makes a difference is for restaurants that didn’t deliver at all.
They are putting a pinch on places which already deliver…

Put it this way. There is a popular sub place in my town where you use their cars and make decent money. Those jobs won’t be around much longer.

The cop lied. Or maybe he didn’t know the real reason. He said it was to have the street resurfaced. I didn’t know because there was no notice. The real reason just became apparent because there was a barrage of fireworks for Statehood Day.
