Tang & Hew (2019) conducted a systematic review of the theories and empirical research findings related to the use of emoticons, emoji, and stickers in computer-mediated communication. They found that increased emoji use is corelated with decreased aggression and trolling. So in the interest of empirically-supported, evidence-based internet foruming, let’s add some emoji!
Post a transparent image and a name and I will give you an emoji.
For example, you give me and image:
And a name: test
And I give you :test:

If you give me an image that isn’t transparent like this:
but no name, you don’t get an emoji, unless I like the image enough to think up a name

at work I’ve added two custom emoji to slack, one is rebecca black (which I obviously post to #random every friday morning) and the other is a droid saying roger roger which is just insanely useful, but neither seems particularly well-suited for here
