These tend to be regional differences, right? So far, only @skydiver8 and I have voted for the “face will surely show it”.

IIRC, sky is originally from Ohio, and I learned this rhyme as a kid from my dad’s side of the family who are also from Ohio.

Also Ohio and “face will surely show it.” I’ve noticed that very northern Ohio where my mom’s family is from does some of these differently though.

These regional dialect things can get interesting sometimes. Has anyone ever heard the phrase “put on gas”? As in, “Hey Kim, the Volvo’s on empty so I’m going to take it down to the BP station and put on gas.”
