I stand corrected. A Google search shows the Birmingham 6 and Guilford 4 both occurring in the 70s (a bit before my time lol), so I never heard of them. The others you cite I’ll accept, but am still left unconvinced that their police forces and judicial system are anywhere near as institutionalized against minorities as ours is. Maybe I’m wrong? Yeah it is nuts, but they dont seem to mind a gun ban at his rallies so they should have no complainants.
This is where I myself hate gun nuts. Open carrying into a Walmart is just plain stupid. Everyone is brainwashed into worrying about what’s lawful and what’s not when that’s not what should matter. No responsible gun owner would do that. Personally, I think open carrying is stupid on its face
Open carry logically follows the entire gun nut narrative.
Guns keep you safe but only if you can get to them, therefore mandatory safe-storage laws are unacceptable. If I don’t have instant access to my gun I may not be able to stop the bad-guy who has a gun.
They don’t care that it creates a society where everyone fears everyone else, that’s the point.

Beyond just not caring, I think they actively want a society where everyone fears each other because that will put them back on the same plane. They’re terrified of everything and want to feel feared by others.
