If we’re at the auditing stage, there are at least half a dozen wookie votes from accounts with zero posts

Final count is 2, one with a very old reg date and another one with a private profile. Oh well.

Can anybody really take Wookie seriously knowing that he’s read 100% of jman’s posts and yet still voted Yes for jman to mod?

Seems like Wookie is far too invested in Forum Warz to be a good moderator.

Another mistake in judgment: He nominated me as moderator once. And then didn’t invite me to the mod forum/PM thread that I never knew existed, but I’m sure that was just an oversight and not a move made in furtherance of Forum Warz.

Are the vote counts close to the threshold?

This forum is like Bosnia and Herzegovina. Two groups with violent history so inescapable that they made a presidency where one person from each group served essentially simultaneously by law. Just have that here. for every captain get a non captain

Who?

Some of them, yes

wat

Wookie is the only close count, the rest seem pretty wrapped up.

I’m sure I can garner support from Anon002, Anon003, and TheRealNunnhi if need be.

It’s an exercise of democracy really. Which side can pester voters enough to get them to actually bother voting on the day in an election that might not (probably won’t) impact their lives at all? Makes me feel warm and gooey inside.

Didn’t read this thread, but bad mod selection rules, like we currently have, are a genuine risk to this forum. I think people who volunteer to be mods should be confirmed unless 50%, or even 60%, vote against them. I don’t know how other small forums do things, but I doubt it’s like we do.

We should do like 2 year terms, removable for abandonment or 2/3 impeachment.

Yeah, I mean that typo in the “haha” section is just completely beneath him.

I thought the rotating mods idea for maximum participation was kinda cool but I guess that’s 🤷

Or a better idea, maybe just exclude anyone who graduated from Auburn or Alabama from refereeing a damn Auburn-Alabama game. There are plenty of Big East/Big 12 graduates on this forum

Me too.

Voted for new blood to take a turn.

Wait, has Cuse been a mod before too?

Whatever, wish I’d abstained. Changing all votes to yes.

He resigned almost 3 years ago so he’s basically new blood at this point.
