Yeah, it was just Matthews casually comparing Bernie winning to the Nazi demolition of France. Tame stuff - hardly worth a mention when you think about it.
It was a fully appropriate analogy, to the extent one believes tonightâs result makes Bern getting the nomination highly likely.
Unwarranted? Stick to lurking.
Sure was - nothing more appropriate in fact. Was the first thing I thought of too. Couldnât agree more Iron.
There must be millions of analogies that do not cast a Jewish man in the role of the Nazis.
The salience or humor of neither those tweets are dependent on Matthews having uttered âoverrun the Maginot line.â
It was flowery speech, unnecessarily so, ostensibly about the brevity of the contest .
but policing every metaphor is an available activity
Chip leader with AA v AJ all-in when the 2nd in chips had to fold JJ was more appropriate since we came from a poker forumâŚ
Also, Matthewsâs comment was completely absurd and inappropriate even without that quote.
Itt comparing the Jewish candidate to nazis is totally appropriate, not in bad taste at all.
Also the news channel owned by comcast isnât mainstream media I guess?
Is 45% of delegates above or below expectation for Bernie?
I think it would be appropriate for some posters to tell @iron81 to fuck off, but I wonât encourage it.
Letâs cancel Chris Matthews
D obviously favored in Mass, but just keep in mind that (a) biotech and hospitals are two of the biggest employers in the state and (b) Scott Brown won a special election by running against health care reform. I think a âmoderateâ New England Republican would have a shot.
The big takeaway is how hard he crushed with latino votes tonight and thatâs good for AZ in the general; because AZ is a way more moderate state than bernie is.
I listened to two pretty good conventional wisdom busting podcasts on the Maginot line, and I canât remember one freaking insight about it. Also this new avatar sucks. Also enjoy today for as always, waaf.
hey, donât pair me in with that.
