Going to the East is still the easiest route even with good teams there.
still kinda salty about him not coming to cleveland. the roster and the storyline were basically perfect. plus, waaay less pressure to win a title.
he gave that up for like 5% more equity and 100% more drama/pressure along with the implications if he doesnât win.
i do think phillyâs starting 5 is potentially all-time great, but in january, embiid will be out for 4 weeks, jaylen brown will be on social media saying wild shit and maxey will be grumbling that he should be a #1⌠none of that wouldâve happened in cleveland.
Winning a title with a different team is a bigger boost to the > Jordan resume.

Jordan playing 15 seasons while LBJ is still toiling after 23 is a bigger boost to his > LBJ resume, in my opinion. Now it would be hilarious if the only reason LBJ is playing this season is because he would have ended at 23 seasons. Even his resume would say 23 is the best if he retired after last season.
LBJ, 4 titles in 23 seasons* (all 4 are basically asterisks if you ask me, Heat super team, Cleveland Draymond ticky tack suspension + LBJ going back after the team rebuilt from the NBA feeling sorry for them after he left, and then the bubble)

Last time LeBron didnât make the nba finals in the east (when he was in the east) was 2010 allegedly. I havenât fact checked this but it sounds right.
You are in luck. I was just comparing careers and LBJ last missed the playoffs in 2022 (3 times in his entire career). He was in the playoffs every year in the East starting in 2006 the entire time he was in the East. He missed the playoffs his first two seasons.
My post is poorly worded but I was trying to say that it was a primary reason in Lebronâs thinking.
I seriously wonder why he cares so much. Who cares? Youâve been great, MJ was great. Youâre both generational talents who may be wiped on the floor by Wemby if he can stay healthy. I like MJ better for so many reasons over LBJ. I donât hate LeBron, but he can really be annoying in many ways. I was never good enough at the game to be qualified to say who is the best, but I still side with MJ.
