An awful lot of touching the money on NY sports radio today. Not loving that. Bad juju. Folks acting like they can’t even see the series getting back to SATX.
The fans are bad news for the Knicks, especially celebrity fans. Almost makes me want to root against them. Almost.
Any chance that people who paid $11k a ticket will start chanting Pedophile or Epstein?
In 2006 the Dallas city council and mayors office started publicly talking about a parade before the series was over (after two wins)
Danhausen has started to talk about a parade, so that’s worrisome.
Yeah maybe I’m emotionally hedging but this series is far from over imo. Spurs maybe even have the easier adjustments to make.
Brunson has been horrible so far. The Spurs guards are making things hell for him, and I don’t really see the Knicks taking the ball out of Brunson’s hands any more than they already have, which is kinda what I think they should do. Either that or have him attack earlier. The dribbling with his back to the basket just over midcourt thing is killing the offense. If a few of the role players turn back into a pumpkin, the Knicks are suddenly going to look very beatable.
Meanwhile, the Spurs need to run plays to try to get Wemby the ball while in motion. KAT deserves all the credit for his effort so far, but he’s still KAT… the guy is not a good defender. Make him defend in motion. Right now they keep dumping Wemby the ball while he’s standing still, which is like the one thing KAT is good at.
I do think the Knicks are solid favorites at this point, but idk man, I’m not THAT confident yet.
Brunson just needs to play through it. Last night other than not heating up was a lot like his game 1 vs. the Cavs.
Great vibes! When they inevitably choke this away, many people will be saying it’s a sports curse unlike anything the world has ever seen.

The Knicks h8 is strong in this one.
Knicks good juju right now might be the only thing strong enough to overcome orange man bad juju. Will be quite the matchup in Game 3.
The players on the court are making it happen. Everyone outside the lines is corrupting it lol.

"The permit for the Plaza33 Game 3 watch party was denied by the city’s permitting office in consultation with the NYPD. However, the White House will confirm that this is not about the president. [wat?] We understand NYPD Commissioner Tisch is planning additional street closures around Madison Square Garden.
“There will be no watch parties outside of Madison Square Garden for Game 3 only,” the statement read. “This was done fully in coordination with the Secret Service because of the presidential visit. We expect watch parties at Madison Square Garden to resume for Game 4.”
Matt McCool, special agent in charge of the U.S. Secret Service’s New York field office, said he understood that with the Knicks on a historic run there would be some disappointment from fans.
“At the same time, our responsibility is to ensure the highest level of public safety,” he said. “After careful coordination and assessment, the Secret Service and the NYPD jointly determined that outdoor watch parties could not be accommodated in the immediate vicinity of Madison Square Garden due to the security requirements associated with an event of this scale and the need to maintain a secure environment for protective operations.”

I read before the series started that the NBA set up the Finals schedule to avoid a conflict with the USA’s first World Cup game.
