National Basketball Association - 2025/2026 Season

I agree, he looked like a video game. It was amazing to watch in real time.

There were fans on the Mavs’ Reddit who not long ago were saying “Letting Brunson go allowed us to get Kyrie Irving. It’s all good.”

That’s crazy. Cuban fucked up the Brunson thing hardcore. You can’t let all nba caliber talent walk for nothing. He did the same thing with Steve Nash.

I feel like letting Brunson go was possibly the worst decision in franchise history. And there have been a lot of bad decisions in that franchise’s history.

Mavs draft luka and Brunson in same draft and have almost nothing to show for it. It’s crazy.

I thought when Brunson hit free agency, he wasn’t considered anything close to what he is today. Nobody in NY thought “awesome, we got our tier 1 all-NBA guy”.

He was amazing for at least 1 and maybe 2 years before that. He had that WIM even then.

He was key in the mavs run to WCF when he was on team. Especially when luka was injured.

If this was a comment on SA and OKC being “small markets”, the ratings from Game 1 are in and it was the most watched G1 Western Conference Finals ever.

lol IH just mauling VW every possession.

Castle might break the record for turnovers in a series if Fox doesn’t come back.

In the NBA, the record for the most turnovers in a single playoff series is held by Allen Iverson, who committed 38 turnovers during the 7-game 2001 Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Toronto Raptors. [1]

Wemby

The sequence of him draining a 3, then driving the lane and stuffing back his own offensive rebound, then blocking a layup at the other end is basically the Wemby primer.

If the rim sound is the same, it sounds like it’s hitting a cardboard box. A lot of it may be because they’re using too many mics for the rim area. If I were designing it, I’d have one mic pointing down at the basket in the center (this is usually placed above the backboard, a few mics near the floor for the whole court, and whatever I’d want to do with the audience. Because of the multiple mics pointed at the basket area, it just sounds plain weird with none of the usual definition we used to get. Even the swishes have a weird surround sound. I do think the rims sound different but don’t have an explanation for it related to the material of the rims.

No Fox no Harper is killer for SAS. Although OKC lost Jalen Williams too.

Yeah same sound tonight as what you hear a lot of around the league now.

It’s been a long time since rims have been changed (2009-2010 season), so I think it’s more different mic’ing and 5.1 or Atmos or whatever they’re mixing in these days, techniques often done poorly though there is very little criticism of it. I read they have mics on the actual rim now, which seems super dumb. You don’t really want sound that close. When people do Foley, they are rarely trying to capture the actual sound, they’re approximating the sound with something else. They broke what was fixed for many many years, but that’s sound for you.

I just heard a missed free throw sound like it came from three places lol.

Amazed Spurs keep settling for threes. Looks a lot like Cavs last night from an opposite direction.

I was gonna say UhOKC

Butnah

SGA with 30 and Wemby came back to earth some. Who could have guessed. Still have a hell of a series ahead of us. Must watch TV.
