That really kind of diminishes Brunson’s impact on the comeback. It felt like I was watching real life NBA Jam when he went off.
This may be a scorching hot take, but after watching back the highlights a few times, outside of the blowby to tie it at 101, and then Brunson’s first bucket of OT, Brunson’s shots were overall fairly tough or contested ones IMO. Brunson’s just really good at needing just a tiny bit of space, or getting you just slightly off balance.
But Cavs coach has to do something to get Wade on Brunson more down the stretch, or just double him and if he finds an open Shamet or OG, then whatever, you live with it.

you can make the argument that we watched the worst defensive quarter in history last night. they’ve only tracked 10 instances of one player being isolated for 1v1 in a quarter and harden gave up the most points per possession of all of them.
Who was guarding Brunson for the first 41 minutes?
