National Basketball Association - 2025/2026 Season

How does he get 60 million a year in an extension. Math doesn’t math. That seems higher than max salary.

google tells me he’s eligible for 112m for 2 years. Maybe shams got his digits mixed up?

Butler is eligible to sign a two-year contract extension worth $112.6 million with the Heat during this window that keeps him under contract until he’s 37 years old, but this is considered unlikely based on Butler’s seemingly broken relationship with the Heat. This extension would pay Butler $54.1 million next season and $58.5 million for the 2026-27 season.

So Schroder is actually heading to the Jazz which makes no sense i assume he gets a buyout.
Kyle Anderson to the Raptors so i assume a buyout there as well.

Updated trade summary:

Warriors get - Jimmy Butler
Heat get - Andrew Wiggins, PJ Tucker, first-round pick
Pistons get - Lindy Waters III, Josh Richardson, second-round pick
Jazz get - Dennis Schroder
Raptors get - Kyle Anderson

Pistons win trade?

well the 2nd round pick is the only positive asset here so yeah

Raptors got Anderson without giving up anything? Doesn’t seem correct.

lol Butler said not two days ago that he won’t sign with GS. Clown

jimmy butler seems like an asshole

Ah ok. Seems like the same thing as a “conditional” pick to me :man_shrugging: maybe it’s just an NBA thing? Not sure I’ve heard it used in the NFL but perhaps I am misremembering

Nobody going to be berating Podz. If he earned Dray’s respect then he will also have Jimmy’s.

Lonzo got 20m for 2 years. Happy for him

it’s close to the same, basically teams put that in there cause some other teams accidentally gave up the #1 pick or a top pick (hello clippers and nets). Most of the time it’s protected for any spot in the draft you’d actually want. (lottery or top 10) and then they just keep doing that for a few years and eventually if it hasn’t transferred yet they give up and it’s a second round pick or two.

he wanted to go to phoenix, was told that’s not happening and GS was the only team willing to pay him is what happened. Turns out not a great strategy to turn down 50 million dollars you wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.

for GS it’s a #YOLO with an old roster basically

yeah bulls wanted to keep him around

idk man he’s just a backup at this point and his knee is shot but whatever, it’s not patrick williams awful contract. Lonzo already got paid more than that each season he didn’t play so.
