The consensus seems to be that the chances of a lockout are pretty low and that both sides are likely to reach a new deal before the opt-out date. They’re making a ton of money and they don’t want to rock the boat.
I’ve heard about proposals for a trade anti-kicker, where you have to forfeit money if you request a trade.
Seems too easy to get around. Just start acting disgruntled - don’t return calls from team, talk bad about coach - but don’t request trade.
