National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Remember when everyone thought GS was a big favorite and should have won this series without much trouble.

Donā€™t think I saw much of that tbh here. Most people kind of thought what the books did, GSW sligbt favorite, 6 or 7 game series either way.

I said I thought Bos was better if fully healthy and saw a few similar opinions

Draymond is the most tilting player since bill laimbeer

GSW have played 0 4th Q through 3 games. One they were up so much they didnā€™t have to, but just not going to win often no showing the 4th

Tilting how? What about Rodman?

I mean, I generally just believe the books, who had the Dubs as pretty slight favorites for the series. Sure, I mocked 538 with the Cs at 80%, but not because I had it >=80% the other way.

Steph being hurt fucking sucks.

Horrible defense by everyone on gsw though. Their defense on the road is always a lot worse.

Series is over if steph isnā€™t 100%

Agreed. I want him healthy. Will make stomping you schmucks all that more satisfying.

(I just kidding. I love you)

bulls fan so Iā€™m biased, but even when rodman was on detroit he seemed so purely chaotic neutral that he was never as utterly hateable as laimbeer or mahorn (even after shoving scottie)

I think if you think dray or Rodman or whatever is hate able itā€™s bc they are actually good. There are plenty of similar players who are nowhere near as good so they get forgotten. Grant Williams wants to be Draymond, heā€™s just the 75% version. Cousins is another guy that comes to mind, who did have some pretty good years tbf.

Agreed. He just liked to fuck shit up for the sake of fucking shit up.

Dray has been fucking horrible this series. Heā€™s why we lost this game by far.

Not even playing good defense. He was really good last game.

Yeah I got close to putting him in there too, but heā€™s even worse than Cousins/Grant etc.

Bruce Bowen is probably next on the list.

Steph has the personality of slow-cure drywall and isnā€™t interesting outside of a basketball game. Heā€™s pretty much only likable as a paradigm shift innovator and master of the craft. I think his flat affect can even be off-putting in interviews and commercials. Itā€™s certainly not unique to Steph because Mike Trout the GOAT is basically the same guy, a cardboard cutout that destroys his sport. Conversely, as hateable as Draymondā€™s court antics are, heā€™s funny, thoughtful, and entertaining off the court. Iā€™d take him 10/10 times over Curry for interviews, podcasts, commercials, or anything media related.

100% this. I want to like Draymond. His interview yesterday re: fake tough guys from the 80s was insightful and hilarious. I think thatā€™s why itā€™s extra tilting that heā€™s such a linestepping dick bag on the court.

Truly canā€™t think of many elite guys in any sport who are super interesting away from the game in media.
