National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Can’t put it all on him tbh there’s sooo much to be mad about if you’re a Miami fan. Just garbage defense all night, guys out of position, like basic high school shit. It was absurd.

I got money on the warriors for every NBA championship until the end of time and they are also my second favorite team…

But fuck those ass clowns. Curry is washed. Draymond is dirty. Wiggins is a bust. Klay is the 76th best player in history. @StimAbuser is a jerk.

Boom roasted

Honestly surprised they put up this much of a fight.

I’ve got $40 on the Celtics at 50-1 preseason.

Well good luck. I thought they were the best team entering the playoffs… maybe the Suns. But at this point I think Warriors are clear faves. Celtics seem like they just lose focus too often.

I mean if Miami hadn’t taken game 5 off to do hookers and blow round the Clevelander we’re not even having this conversation but whatever it’s been a while since poor Outdrawed had something to cheer about so good for him and the entire city of greater metro Boston proper

Yeah, fuck me for rooting for my team. I’m such an asshole.

It’s not that you’re rooting for your team(s) as much as it’s that I hate all of them so very much

Agree, I changed my mind and see the Warriors as deserved favorites. God there is no offense worse than the Celtics up 10 with 4 minutes to play. Just iso dribble, dribble, dribble, contested 3.

Also thought Robert Williams didn’t look good tonight. They really needed to close it in 6.

Got a shot though! Hyped!

It’s mostly Patriots hate transference

Celtics play down to their opponent’s level. Any series has a good chance of going to seven unless they are just not good.

Rob was awful. Maybe the knee was bothering him but he was non existent.

I see them reverting to 2021 Celtics a lot this postseason. Tightening up late in the game with a lead. I fully expect them to blow a game they have a commanding lead in

Do they really though? Admittedly I barely paid attention to them before the playoffs but were t they pretty far back in the first half of the season and then battled back to a 2 seed slot in the second half? That sounds like a scrappy WIM team not one that lets their opponents dictate pace/toan :man_shrugging:

The second half of the year they were a completely different team. First half they blew multiple games in the fourth quarter. Second half they just blew everyone out consistently. The last two rounds have seen a lot of blown leads.

Celts had elite numbers after Christmas, still don’t trust their offense vs good teams but both GSW/Boston got here getting through injured teams. Both teams had injuries themselves but not a fun postseason to watch.

Celtics underperformed their Pythagorean win-loss by a lot in the first half. I think it was something along the lines of underachieving as much as the Bulls overachieved.

I kind of expect a seven game series with a lot of not-close games.

This always happens. Milwaukee only got past Brooklyn last year because Harden was already hurt and then Giannis undercut Kyrie, injuring him. Toronto won a title thanks to almost all of GSW’s good players getting hurt. The playoffs are a slog. Always have been, always will be.

Payton was crippled by a dirty play, Robert Williams was hurt all playoffs. It’s not like these two teams have been ensconced in velvet for a month.

So apparently that 3 they took away from strus was nonsense and the refs just made it up on the fly. Their official explanation was they were reviewing if it was a 2 or a 3 and then found out he was out of bounds. Nobody thought that was a 2. He wasn’t even close to the 3 point line.

You can’t do a review to see if the player was out of bounds, only if it was a 2 or 3.
