National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

What a game by Jimmy buckets

Thatā€™s probably the right call, given current rules, but just goes to show how much they need to reform the charge.

LOL @ Smart

James Francis Buckets

I view Boston as a significantly better team on paper but they just find ways to lose. Same thing as the bucks series without Middleton. Should not have gone 7 games.

Glad there is a game 7. Everyone figured Boston was a lock for the finals but now they got a tough game 7 in Miami.

Butler is Hella inconsistent but damn what a performance

Itā€™s so true. Every other game they just throw the ball away 15 timesā€¦ unforced errors.

Fifty five fucking fouls thoughā€¦ absolutely unwatchable no matter who youā€™re rooting for.

Fuckkkkkkk

Nobody on the Celtics besides Brown and Tatum could shoot first 3 quarters. Iā€™m a Smartstan of sorts but he was awful tonight. Blew a great opportunity to be well rested for the Warriors

To be fair heā€™s playing on a fucked up ankle. Both teams super banged up.

Honestly they was just an all time great playoff performance from Butler. Kinda makes me wish steph would shoot more midrange. Especially when his 3 isnā€™t falling. Only thing missing for his game to give him more consistency.

One of the most impressive playoff performances Iā€™ve ever seen. That was some Lebron shit from JImmy.

I found this interesting. Iā€™ve heard the narrative for the GSW vs Mavs series that Mavs just had tons of wide open looks and it was basically luck they shot badly.

Video kinda breaks down how thats not true. It was a concious scheme to leave Mavs worst shooters wide open, and take away guys sweet spots. Like DFS is 47% from the corner, but 35% from everyone else from 3. So they did the hedge on him because it would leave him open in the top of the key where he shoots badly. They were willing to live with guys who shoot 35% from 3 open and to completely take away easy points in the paint.

Just great scheming and incredible team work. They donā€™t have the defensive personnel of say Boston, heat, or bucks, with a much much slower Klay, Steph who is above average but by no means great due to size, often Poole who is well below average. Looney who is good but not great. Only Dray & Wigs would you consider well above average defenders but they still managed to have the #2 defense during the regular season. Not sure where they rank in the playoffs but theyā€™ve also faced much, much better offensive teams than those in the east.

Talked about it a few times before but Thinking Basketball is also absolutely fantastic and uses lots of data and stats too. His youtube clips are short like this but has longer podcasts where he breaks things down.

Being a warriors fan I think youā€™d love his Stuff on Steph. Heā€™s been very high on him and how massive his impact is even when heā€™s having a horrible game.

Love this video about Steph during his horrible shooting slump. Basically breaks down how despite shooting like westbrook his impact was still insane because what he does to defenses and getting teammates easy points

Anyone have any thoughts on Darvin Ham? Iā€™m not sure what to feel. Their roster is constructed so poorly even peak Phil Jackson wouldnā€™t be able to win shit with these guys. I canā€™t see LeBron staying for another season of this.

Another Scott Foster game? Yesssss. Letā€™s go for 60 fouls tonight.

Think Miami pulls it out. Boston is better but not healthy enough.

Iā€™m nervous. I firmly believe the Celtics are the better team but a road game against a rejuvenated Jimmy Butler is terrifying.

Who has homecourt in a Mia vs GS series? Sorry, for being too lazy to look it up myself.

Should be the Warriors, they had identical records but GS swept the H2H.
