Itâs good that the KP trade hasnât ruined Dallas, but it really does set you back a ton. Not going to look if those picks ended up really being anyone, but they could have at least been used on someone better than KP.
The KP trade is also costing them $16 million a year in wasted salary for Bertans. Also not sure Dinwiddie is worth $18 million.

That said, big credit to the Mavsâ intestinal fortitude to go down more than 20 in a close out game on the road but to then still claw back as best they could.

Only 3 teams have gone to the finals 6 times in 8 years since the merger. 80s Lakers, 90s Bulls and current Warriors. A title this year really puts them in elite territory.

The Miameland LeBrons seem like they deserve some mention here, because while that was split between two teams, it was basically one guy behind both.

My nba knowledge is rusty but watching Luka get blown by by repeatedly in the playoff games, I would agree.

Itâs a good idea if they want to win 20 games next year. Take Luka off that roster and they are the least talented team in the league. Even OKC after whoever they take 2nd overall is better.
All five games the warriors got their offensive will onto the mavs. The mavs like to limit possessions and thus total shot attempts with defense to limit total points. They could never do that in this series. GS easily broke 100 plus every game.
Good luck building a championship team around a player who plays average defense. Heavy James Harden vibes.

I mean, they are a bunch of dudes with like 70-75 overall ratings in NBA 2K. Brunson is the only other guy on that roster you could get a first round pick for.
If you had the 7th-10th pick or so this year, would you trade it for any non Luka player? I wouldnât!
Brunson is a worse version of FVV. He shouldnât be a second option. When Toronto won it all FVV was the 4th guy at best.
Dinwiddie was their third guy and anyone could have had him for a 2nd rd pick 4 months ago.
The Jazz are a joke about to blow their team up, that wasnât a big accomplishment.
