National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

That’s fair, I guess. Of course, jumping back on the Sonics bandwagon would also be perfectly defensible for a born and raised Seattleite. I just assumed you would do that.

Yeah, I’m not sure. My girls like watching women play, and I don’t want to discourage that or treat women’s sports as lesser. Portland doesn’t have a WNBA team, and I’d want to take them to games if they are inclined, so maybe I’ll become more of a Storm fan since they’re the most accessible. But for now, Steph Curry is who made me want to watch NBA basketball again, and I will be a fan of his until he is done. After that, I’m not sure. I don’t owe the Golden State franchise any more than they felt like they owed the city of Oakland.

Even if they’re not technically the Sonics of your youth, it’s gonna have to feel really weird rooting against a Seattle team with yellow and green unis with Space Needles on them.

Not if I’ve latched onto a new team, I don’t think. I didn’t really have any trouble flipping the switch from favoring UW to Stanford in all things college once I had cause to, and I’d still be pulling for Steph if the Sonics were to start next year.

If you actually go to college in one place and didn’t go to college in another place that’s totally different.

Hypothetically, if you went to UW for undergrad and then Stanford for grad school, I’d think rooting against UW would be hard.

This is true. I had a colleague at Standford who wore his powder blue in the student section for Stanford vs. UCLA, but he never went through a time when UCLA was dead to him, either.

Yeah steph brought me back too basketball too. Sticking with the warriors though because the culture steph developed of being unselfish and always team first will live on even when he’s gone. And even when he’s gone Kerr will continue to use motion offense which is a big part of why they’re so fun to watch.

Plus poole and kuminga are really exciting and are going to be really good. Bob Myers is an incredible gm too.

Rooting for the Celtics overall but want to heat to win tonight. Push it at least y hopefully 7 games and hopefully our guys get it done in 5. Old guys need rest

Counting on him for the rest of the playoffs seems like a losing battle

Wait what? Heat by twenty one? Twenty SIX!?

Oh, 75 percent vs 14 percent from 3. That’ll do it

I love good shooting, but it does kinda suck the variance causes so many blowouts. I do expect the Celtics to make it closer, and I’m hopeful the heat will make a series out of it.

Sheeeeesh 18-3 dt disparity

Holy shit for Jimmy now smart. This fucking sucks

Jaylen’s ball control is a war crime. He is literally torturing me.

Unlikely any are really 100% for the finals tbh.
Warriors going to get the easiest ring I can remember

This is by far the most fucked up one sided reffing I’ve ever seen lmao. Being completely serious they should investigate these refs lol

27 to 5 FT disparity is impressive.
