National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

How is having arenas as voting sites going to result in more poll workers?

People will be willing to volunteer, especially if thereā€™s any chance they could meet NBA players. As far as I know, nearly every election day poll worker is a volunteer.

I would think that there could also be more confidence in the ability to social distance and be safe in a big arena, which could lead to more people being willing to volunteer.

Kind of crazy that this hasnā€™t been baked in to all these stadium deals forever. They should be required to function as top tier polling sites in elections.

Itā€™s almost like the people who make deals ostensibly for the public would prefer if people who lived in cities with giant stadiums didnā€™t vote.

Letā€™s go Dallas and get a game 7 going!

So correct me if Iā€™m wrong.

The most successful NBA player from the Wichita State juggernaut that got fucked by seeding isā€¦ Fred Van Vleet?

Kawhi is so boring to watch I wish nothing but bad things for him

Marcus Morris hit the showers.

So funny how rivalries start. I hate these clippers now.

Too bad they have no draft picks. Need to be smart in free agency.
Watching them leave Dort open yesterday and him just brick everything was brutal.

Isnā€™t the timing right for them to take on Giannis at a max after one more season before they have to commit infinite dollars to Luka? Iā€™ll start the hype train for that right now.

Not even close. Ron Baker and Cleanthony Early are playing overseas. I really liked that team too.

Are you talking about more than one team in this post?

Yes, second part was the OKC/HOU game.

Yeah, me too. Really unlucky that Kentucky was peaking at exactly the right time and criminally under-seeded.

Murray is playing like Curry.

Are there going to be salary cuts next year? Havenā€™t been following NBA post lockdown but where I am in Australia our biggest sport is taking big cuts due to revenue loss. Iā€™d guess players will go more apeshit in the NBA at any suggested cuts but do owners tolerate losses this year/next given the long term enormous profitability of the league?
