National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Shaq has an argument for most dominant player ever. The length of his career really was amazing.

Bummed not getting to see Jokic with a healthy squad in these playoffs.

Shaq size was super important but he was a super finesse player and used beautiful footwork and had awesome little baby hooks and a ton of other moves.

Giannis really just grabs the ball at the top of the key and just runs at/through people. Heā€™s nothing like Shaq. If Giannis was dominating with post moves thatā€™d be a different story.

Giannis has better footwork/moves than Shaq. You have to guard Giannis outside the key. He is maybe the second best player after Lebron in transition.

Like he was well older, but Shaq to the suns was so disappointing.

Damn Celtics getting killed on the boards without Williams.

I like Jokic but still think overall he isnā€™t as good as Embiid/Giannis. His regular season stats are obviously amazing, and this year his team wasnā€™t good enough to help him out but I need to see some playoff results soon. If youā€™re a top 3-5 player in the league you need some more wins.

Yeah its weird. Iā€™ve been a casual fan the past few years but his game really does remind me of Timmayā€™s. League is just that loaded I guess.

And Iā€™ll say the same of Embiid as well. If you want me to call you the best player, or top 3 in the leagueā€¦get to finals at least.
If they actually are that good, both teams have enough help when healthy.

Jokic/Embiid arenā€™t Lebron, but he got to finals with garbage teams. As you note, the league was weaker. But we wonā€™t remember that as much in 5-10+ years.

lmao this reffing jesus. He clearly jumped into the defender.

Without Middleton, the Bucks offense has reverted to Giannis just going 1-on-5 and everyone else watching.

Someone on the Bucks RealGM board said if they win the title, ESPN will do a 30-for-30 on their playoff three point shooting called ā€œ3-for-30.ā€

Giannis really cant be allowed to arm bar on the post like that.

Sixers vs bucks should be a good series

I mean theyā€™re actually shooting better than the Celtics lol. I agree though Giannis is almost the entire offense.

Shit Kerr having covid sucks :(. That said replacement coaches have seemed to do really well when heā€™s out.

Looks like Ja is out too which is really a bummer. Theyā€™re being super cryptic and havenā€™t released his MRI results or said anything about his injury so wonder whats going on. Hope heā€™s alright.

Exactly this. Giannis just goes shoulder/elbow first into squared up defenders at full speed and more often than not they just call nothing or a defensive foul. Of course thatā€™s unstoppableā€¦ the stopping it is calling a charge.

they are certainly making sure to call charges on jaylen brown tho

This is painful to watch. Why should the status of home or away determine what team gets the call? A call shouldnā€™t change because one team is playing at home.

The team whose fans can convince the refs that they are more likely to commit homicide over calls they disagree with has the advantage.

Absolutely ridiculous. Dead ball technical. What a joke.
