National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Meh, down to the wire missing two of our three best players on a back to back?

Can’t wait for the playoffs

That was almost the stealthiest seed tank by the Bucks. They looked completely uninterested until the final 6 minutes. Probably underestimated an undermanned Celtics team.

Jokic with the first ever 2000/1000/500

Truly a goat level season. Only 2 games behind buck’s and sixers despite 2 max players sitting.

Easy mvp locked up

I dont know why we are pretending Embiid and Giannis aren’t having great seasons and well deserving.

:joy:

Both are having insanely good years, especially giannis. Only problem is Jokic is having an all time great season, arguably the best ever imo. Top 5 minimum

And he dragged his team missing 2 max players to only 2 wins behind both players who have had way better teams this year.

I’ve switched around a lot. I had Embiid for awhile, and then could see the argument for any of the 3, but with the way Jokic closed out this season I think he separated himself a good amount.

Yeah they all three having runaway mvp seasons in other years.

The barely fifth best player is putting up 28/9/9.it’s a remarkable season.

Wonder if playoffs will match. I was hoping Mavs get the three seed but I am fine w gs taking on Denver in first round.

Luka gets himself the dumbest pfs.

Mavs seem like they will at least clinch home court in first round tonight against tanking blazers.

They were 20 point favs tonight and that line looked 5 points too low to my eyes.

Yeah it’s 38 after three. Luka had 24 points in third quarter. Might be his last quarter of the regular season.

It’s tough watching these tanking teams.

Lebron not playing tonight, so he’s officially out of the scoring title.

PHX looks too good

I think 4/1 is great value for them.

Obviously the talent is higher than ever, especially with the introduction of international players. But the amount of players dropping 30bombs is crazy. Offensive production is crazy

I’m not one to play the “team xyz should tank to avoid team abc,” particularly because I distinctly remember pundits and Bucks fans wringing their hands over the Bucks having to face Miami in the first round last year…BUT…Bucks are in a pretty good spot. Can only be #2 or #3. #2, you get HCA for the first two rounds at least, #3 you get the Bulls in the first round (be careful what you wish for, I guess).

Looks like the Bucks are tanking tomorrow (likely for rest, not seeding). Giannis, Middleton, Lopez, Portis all doubtful, Grayson Allen out.

I think 3 is optimal but there’s a real advantage in having home court if they play the Bucks so I’m fine with either. 4 would be not be awful but by far the worst

They’re playing the crashing-and-burning Cavs so they’ll win anyway.

As it seemed yesterday, Bucks resting all their regular starters except Jrue and I’d be shocked if he played much. Memphis sitting everybody against Boston.

Here’s why Jrue is playing

He took a foul on the first possession and was pulled. Got his 67th game.
