I remember seeing this rule in action during the Virginia/Texas Tech National Championship game, same exact thing.
It just needs to be rewritten that if the player who possesses the ball has the ball knocked out of their possession, the offensive team retains possession unless the ball hits another body part of the possessing player.
Agreed. Or something like if the ball goes directly out of bounds, it goes back to the offense. If the offensive player tries to regain control and is the last to touch it, it goes to the defense. Something like that. Wording is tricky.

Watched this last night on my seat back TV on the plane. I didnât have a rooting interest but quickly become a Suns fan with all the BS calls against them. Beverly plays his ass off and works all the angles. Would love him on my team. He is not on my team so I hate him.

Edit - researched it quickly, I knew the Kings and 6ers were at least close and I think theyâve both hired more than the Celtics, but may have had more coaching turnover overall.
I made a bet with a buddy at evens that Brad Stevens will coach at least one more game for the Celtics before 1/1/2030.
