I would expect it is very difficult to get the police doing anything for a missing adult with very little evidence of foul play so the suggestion to ask the cop if he can recommend a PI is a good one. Really hope this is just an overreaction and she is fine.
Me too but there is very little evidence. No drug problems and all the evidence points to this being unlikely.
You may not want to share. But if sheās taking a lot of medications are there mental health issues?
Crashing a car then being turned away sound like mental health crisis triggers. You could try hospitals or shelters? Where would someone having a crisis end up?
Also. Try literal door knocking door to door the neighbours, bring your mum to add emotional appeal and to make it feel safer for the neighbours.
In real life contact is much more effective than virtual.

Sucks and gl. Iām not shocked that the police are no help. The only relevant experience I was even barely exposed to suggests hiring a PI is the best thing. In the case I was aware of the person wasnāt exactly missing and the PIs didnāt find them, but anyway they did actually investigate and look.

Iād canvass the building and neighbors.
Post on as many places as you canā¦2p2, Facebook, NextDoor, Craigslist, etc.

I hope this is a safe space. She is bi-polar. BUT. And this is a huge BUT. She has always usually called family including my parents during those crisis situations. Her boss reported that she was unusually happy at her shift Saturday and had no super urgent triggers going on besides the rental car thing. I just sent a message to every person on the roommateās friend list with the same last name telling them Kyle was wanted for questioning for the disappearance of her and asking them to contact me or the police with any info. Obviously just trying to rattle the cage because the police are going to do nothing.

Yes OKC. I mean I sent him a DM 8 hours ago. Got nothing. No idea how to find him. Everyone I have talked to says he is essentially unhoused. I donāt know how to get ahold of him?
Time matters although I realize we are way past the time of any realistic expectation of ever seeing her alive again. The puzzle is the same either way though.
IME homeless people are pretty local.
I do live nearly 3 hours away. I also donāt know how to find this guy. Ask the guys at the corner? This isnāt a joke. I literally donāt know how to try and enter the unhoused community in a place like Wichita that doesnāt have any obvious megacamps. Thatās also an obvious admission I have not done anything for that community and am a POS. "/

Not that I really know, but I would guess with the facts youāve given itās more than 50% sheās aliveā¦especially the thing where maybe sheās having a manic episode.
No history of manic episodes according to my parents. No idea if that is true. Maybe they donāt know. I have not seen it.
