Matt Damon talks about working with Malkovic on Rounders. I chuckle every time I watch this:

Ladies and Gentlemen, 50 Years of Music on SNL (2024)
From questlove we get one of the best music documentaries ever made. It covers everything. Absolutely riveting from start to end.
Grade: A+
I just watched the Devil Wears Prada. Holy cow Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep can cook together. They should have just kept making movies with those three.
Letās just leave Adrian Grenier out from now on. That dude has all the talentlessness of Freddie Prinze Jr. but with none of Prinzeās charm.
I still liked Entourage. It wasnāt exactly art, but it was definitely entertaining.
I watched a bit of Entourage. It was decent. My shots at Grenier stand.
The crazy thing is that no one on that show could really act, but still worked.
The first two episodes of Entourage had some episodes that were just sublime. The Gary Busey and Val Kilmer episodes come to mind. And Ariās big coup.
Then it was obvious the writers ran out of ideas and it got silly.
The crazy thing is that no one on that show could really act, but still worked.
I forgot about Piven. He could act, but heās only got one character that he can do and itās Ari.

I wasnāt counting the non-regs.
My 12 y.o. daughter telling me that her friend watched The Substance with her parents. I had no qualms about taking her to Deadpool and Wolverine or showing her Pulp Fixtion (although my wife insisted that I censor one scene), but I have to draw the line somewhere.
(although my wife insisted that I censor one scene
Which one? Mine is 12 also and I can think of a lot more than one Iād need to censor.
guessing this one?

I could not imagine encouraging my daughters to watch Pulp Fiction when they were in middle school.
That was the first that came to mind. There are definitely others. Maybe Iām just a lol old with boomer standards.

Forget āencouragingā, how about permitting? Also, letās make it exactly 12-years-old instead of āin middle schoolā.
I canāt imagine my parents letting me watch Pulp Fiction at 12.
Fortunately I was left alone most of the time and saw that and a lot worse. I was watching stuff like Hellraiser at a young age.
@eyebooger Sing Sing coming to Maxā¦after the Oscars. Youāll need to find another way with that one.
Starting to think Anora isnāt getting its Hulu drop before the Oscars either, but no announcement there yet.
Does this mean that Ana is a scientologist. If so, thatās depressing.

Watched To Live And Die in L.A. last night on prime video. Itās been on my list for a while but I havenāt found it streaming anywhere til now. Starring William Petersen and Willem Dafoe, directed by William Friedkin, and soundtrack by Wang Chung!
I kinda loved this. I canāt even say itās a very good film necessarily but it was raw and stylish and had some nice shots. Cool car chase also.
7/10
Looking for recommendations for similar type films that may have slipped past me.
Wang Chung
They came to our venue last year and are back again this year. Only a 30 minute set but a ton of fucking fun
