Movies (and occasionally face slaps) (Part 1)

Thanks for sharing. Hope you didn’t get the Rona. Jealous that you’ve seen Tenet.

My Province is setting new record for cases, but Winnipeg has a population of 900k and it was 9 cases yesterday.
I’m a front line worker, my gf is a teacher, we’re way more exposed day to day than at the theater. Hopefully you can see it soon.

Given your high exposure, did it not give you pause from spreading that around the theater?

We’re wearing masks while working, although its not mandated province wide.
Again, while cases have spiked here a bit, we were down to 1 active case in all of Manitoba here a month ago. We never locked down, things have been pretty much normal here during the entire pandemic.

The benefits of living in a huge empty province. I just googled and always thought more people lived there. You are not much bigger than Saskatchewan.

Watched Nightstalker tonight. Surprisingly solid film and Gyllenhaal is pretty great in it.

We watched Nocturnal Animals last weekend. It was ok. One of my favorite Michael Shannon roles I’ve seen.

We finally watched Parasite. Very good. Best Picture quality? Not sure.

One of the best things we’ve seen lately? The Gift. I knew it got rave reviews when it came out, but it popped up on Netflix the other day. Nice to see Bateman play a slightly different role. Impressive filmmaking.

Yeah, The Gift was good.

Saw Tenet in IMAX indoors. Worth it. Not necessarily Nolan’s best but pretty awesome.

Gallows humor but imagining if he were unable to complete filming and

So I was browsing amazon and came across Guest House. The description made it sound like pauly shore and Steve o were a couple. That’s not exactly it but I’m whacked out on thc and had to watch it. It was a fucking stupid mess but I had a smile on my face the whole god damned time. I said earlier in this thread pauly shore movies were ultimate stoner flicks and I stand by that shizz. That’s all. Have a great night.

Oh yeah and watch the credits for the final song. Worth it.

My wife just told me my hair waking up looked like “that wolf man”. When I enquired further who she was talking about, she said it was a movie. I asked her if it was Michael J Fox. She said no, it was that guy from Greatest Showman. I fell over laughing when I realized she meant wolverine. She’s not much of a comic movie watcher.

I hope you showed her the berserker barrage

I’m looking for a movie to watch, and I’m the worst at picking a decent movie to chill too, I’ve seen most of all the classics but very few new stuff.

Options.

Black Panther
Guest house
(Tenet?) what’s this? :man_shrugging:
Other option (? @RiskyFlush) :point_left:

Please, Am I missing a great movie that’s been released lately? Please share it, as I can’t be bothered going through the thread. :astonished:

Have you seen Knives Out?

Guest House is a good stoner movie. See my drug induced review above. Black Panther is one of the better MCU offerings. Probably my #2 after Iron Man. Definitely worth watching.

That’s one that I new I forgot, going to give this a go, thanks.

My dad I think was trying to tell me about “this movie” without giving to much away and I’m almost positive it’s this. Thanks.

:+1: I will watch this soon, probably tomorrow.

This has been a great year for movies! What kind of movie do you want? Funny? Thrilling? Sad? Romance? Sci-fi? Arthouse? Low budget or blockbuster?

Tenet is the new Chris Nolan movie. He made The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Memento.
