Movies (and occasionally face slaps) (Part 1)

Seen three reviews in Norway so far: 5/6, 5/6, 6/6. whatthefuck.gif.

I’ll never see Avatar 2, but this would have been my preferred ending.

Is a really hot girl in Norway 12/12?

That’s crazy talk!

This has got me thinking

  • one-point scale: ?
  • two-point scale: Siskel & Ebert
  • three-point scale: Michelin
  • four-point scale: New York Times restaurant reviews
  • five-point scale: movies in many American outlets
  • six-point scale: movies in Norway
  • seven-point scale: Bristol stool chart
  • eight-point scale: ?
  • nine-point scale: Richter (technically values higher than 9 are possible)
  • ten-point scale: hotness (universal?)

Mulholland Drive didn’t pique any teenage fantasies?

To be fair I was 22 when Lost Highway came out and 26 when MD came out, so not really teenage fantasies.

But sure, MH was plenty fantasy-inducing, but there was something special about Patricia Arquette in Lost Highway. Besides that I also enjoyed both the movie and the music more. Seriously top 3 soundtrack ever for me (another draft @RiskyFlush?). I can’t remember a single song from Mulholland Drive.

One of my exes used the 8 point scale for judging evil and good, with Hitler at 1. I placed her at 3 in the end.

winnie the pooh vs cocaine bear, who wins???!?!?

I’ve never understood the bad movies are fun thing. I know, I’m a snob!

It’s been hyped for months, here it is. Looks like it could be amazing, but also a difficult, emotional watch:

Uhh

Yeah not sure I’m ready for that. Might watch some cartoons instead.
